Part-Time Nanny AKA Infant/Toddler Whisperer Needed!

Pay: $21–$25 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 15 guaranteed hours/week (ability to increase to 25 hrs/wk after 90 days for the right candidate)

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

A warm, down-to-earth family in Leland is seeking a reliable, engaging nanny for their happy, active 1-year-old son, with an exciting transition ahead as they welcome a newborn this June.

This role is ideal for a nanny who wants to grow with a family—starting with a lighter, predictable schedule this spring and transitioning into a more substantial role (25+ guaranteed hours) after 90 days if the right nanny would prefer to add hours. The family will also be willing to further increase hours in late 2026/early 2027 if the nanny prefers, to create a more full-time schedule.

Schedule & Hours

• Start: April 13, 2026 (flexible for the right fit)
• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
• 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 11:00 AM/12:00 PM – 4:00 PM/5:00 PM (Family can offer some flexibility here based on nanny preference)
• Starting at 15 guaranteed hours/week (with ability to add 10 more after 90 days)

Occasional additional hours available based on mutual availability

Compensation & Benefits:

• $21–$25/hour depending on experience

Daily Responsibilities Include:

• Attentive, loving care for a toddler (and newborn later)
• Planning and leading age-appropriate play and activities
• Supporting naps, feeding routines, and developmental milestones
• Preparing bottles, meals, and snacks
• Diapering, dressing, and hygiene care
• Open, consistent communication with parents

As the children grow, the nanny may also assist with transportation for outings such as playgroups, library visits, and activities.

Light Child-Related Household Support:

• Tidying play areas and children’s spaces
• Cleaning bottles and children’s dishes
• Children’s laundry (weekly/as needed)
• General organization of children’s items

Requirements:

• Experience with infants and/or multiple children
• Engaging, active, and dependable
• 2-3 professional references
• 2+ years prior childcare experience outside of personal family
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Willing to undergo and pass a background check
• Comfortable with a friendly dog in the home (no pet care required)
• Able to lift/carry 30+ lbs and navigate stairs
• Open to caring for sick children when needed

Preferences:

• Looking for a long-term position
• Flexibility for occasional schedule adjustments with advance notice
• Available for very occasional overnight care - especially around baby’s due date in June
