The Family:

The warm and caring family is based in Woodinville and is seeking a nanny who is deeply aligned with their parenting style and values around respectful, engaged childcare. They have two young children—a 3.5-year-old and a 1-year-old—and are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being present with children and supporting their development through meaningful interaction.

Their oldest child is expressive, creative, and curious, with a love for drawing, building, pretend play, reading, asking questions, and physical activity. She experiences big feelings at times and benefits from a caregiver who acknowledges and supports those emotions rather than dismissing them. She is also allergic to peanuts, pecans, and walnuts, so the family needs a nanny who takes allergy safety seriously and will not bring allergens into the home.

Their youngest child is happy, determined, and highly active. He loves being involved in whatever his sister is doing and is eager to move, climb, and explore—often beyond what is safe for his age. Because of this, the family is looking for someone who is consistently attentive, highly safety-minded, and experienced with toddler supervision.

The family places a strong emphasis on safety, emotional awareness, respectful communication, and following through on routines and instructions. They value a caregiver who treats children as individuals, listens to them, engages with them thoughtfully throughout the day, and asks for clarification when something is unclear.

One parent works from home approximately one day per week but generally provides space for the nanny to manage the day independently.

The Job Description:

This is a childcare-focused role ideal for a nanny who enjoys working with toddlers and young children and values being fully engaged throughout the day. The nanny will help structure the children’s day through consistent routines, support their emotional and developmental needs, and maintain a safe and attentive environment at all times.

The role includes preschool pickups two days per week and requires a nanny who has a reliable car that can fit two car seats, as the family will provide the car seats. This is not a housekeeping-heavy position. The family is looking for someone whose focus stays on childcare, safety, and meaningful engagement with the children.

  • Handle preschool pickups two days per week using a reliable car that can fit two car seats (car seats provided)
  • Maintain clean and organized child-related spaces and handle daily tidying of toys and messes generated during the day
  • Follow family guidelines regarding minimal and pre-approved screen time
  • Communicate clearly with parents, follow instructions carefully, and ask for clarification when needed

Nanny Attributes/Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3+ years of childcare experience, with direct toddler experience preferred
  • Well versed in toddler safety, including choking hazards, climbing, and children who do not yet reliably follow instructions
