Part-Time STEM Instructor

We teach kids (ages 4-12) through hands-on, engaging activities using LEGO® bricks, robotics concepts, and creative building projects. No prior robotics experience is required - we provide training and curriculum.

Compensation

$18-26 per hour (based on experience)

Paid training

Opportunities for additional hours during camps, workshops, and birthday parties

Schedule

• Weekdays: typically 2:00-5:30 PM (after-school programs)
• Occasional weekends (birthday parties, special events)
• More hours available during school breaks and summer camps

Location

Programs are held at local schools and community locations in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage groups of 10-20 children in STEM activities
• Facilitate hands-on building projects using LEGO® bricks
• Create a fun, structured, and safe learning environment
• Manage classroom behavior and keep students engaged
• Arrive prepared and on time to assigned programs
• Communicate professionally with parents and staff when needed

Requirements

• Experience working with children (camp, tutoring, daycare, coaching, etc.)
• Energetic, reliable, and comfortable leading groups
• Strong communication skills
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Must pass a background check

Preferred (but not required)

• Education background or pursuing a degree in education
• Teaching or camp experience
• Interest in STEM or hands-on learning

Additional Requirements (after hiring)

• Willingness to complete required training (e.g., child safety / reporting)
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
