Mad Oak Bar ’n’ Yard is seeking an experienced Part-Time Working Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is comfortable balancing hands-on bartending with real-time shift leadership.

This is a leadership position that requires being fully engaged on the floor—leading by example, supporting staff, and ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience from open to close.

Position Overview

Pay Rate: $23-$26/Hr + Tips

As a Working Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations during your shift while actively bartending. You will manage staff, maintain service standards, and ensure the bar runs efficiently and professionally at all times.
We are looking for a dynamic and reliable Part-Time Working Manager who will serve as both a bartender and shift lead in our lively hospitality environment. This role is perfect for someone who loves engaging with guests, managing bar operations, and leading by example during busy and slow shifts. Key Responsibilities

• Bartend while overseeing all aspects of shift operations
• Lead and support bar staff, barbacks, and Door staff
• Coordinate and work with kitchen manager and staff
• Ensure fast, accurate, and high-quality service
• Monitor inventory levels and restocking needs
• Address guest concerns and resolve issues professionally
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the venue
• Oversee opening or closing procedures
• Keep staff on task and productive following operational guidelines
• Coordinate with DJs, events, and special programming as needed
• Step off the bar when necessary to manage service flow or resolve issues
• Social Media engagement

Schedule & Availability

• Part-time (approximately 2–4 shifts per week)
• Must be available Saturdays & Sundays
• Friday & Saturday shifts are typically split between opening and closing managers
• Managers are expected to arrive 1–2 hours prior to shift for setup, administrative tasks, and operational readiness

Additional Responsibilities split between /shared with other manager (Off-Shift)

• Staff scheduling and shift coordination
• Inventory management and ordering
• Staff management: Hiring, onboarding, training, & disciplining
• Event and DJ/promoter coordination
• Basic operational and maintenance follow-up

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years bartending experience in a high-volume environment
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
• High attention to detail and operational standards
• Commitment to team accountability and guest experience. Doesn't shy away from holding staff accountable while still maintaining a positive work environment.
