Mopar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technical Advisor to support and guide our team of field Technical Advisors. This role is critical in diagnosing complex vehicle issues, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality technical support across the region. The Lead Technical Advisor will serve as a subject matter expert on Mopar products, common vehicle concerns, and emerging technical challenges. This individual must possess strong diagnostic capabilities, leadership qualities, and a passion for teaching and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead and support the team of Technical Advisors in the field, providing guidance on complex diagnostics and repair strategies.
- Problem Solving & Escalation: Act as the go-to expert for unresolved or emerging vehicle issues, collaborating with dealers and field staff to identify root causes and solutions.
- Mentorship & Training: Foster a culture of learning by coaching Technical Advisors, sharing best practices, and developing training materials to enhance team capabilities.
- Product Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of Mopar products, systems, and common vehicle concerns to support accurate and efficient diagnostics.
- Field Collaboration: Work closely with Area Managers, Warranty Manager, and dealership service teams to ensure consistent technical support and issue resolution.
- HQ Interface: Coordinate with Mopar HQ engineering and technical teams to report field issues, contribute to product feedback loops, and stay informed on technical updates.
- Quality Assurance:
Monitor field performance and ensure that repairs and diagnostics meet Mopar standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Automotive or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive diagnostics and repair (Mopar experience strongly preferred).
- Proven leadership or mentorship experience within a technical team.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across multiple vehicle systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel regularly to support field operations and dealership visits.
