Position Overview

The Parts Picker plays a key role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations by receiving, organizing, picking, packing, and distributing parts accurately and efficiently. This position supports both Retail and Workshop counters while ensuring inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and timely order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, and distribute parts to Retail and Workshop counters.
  • Read and interpret parts orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to identify required items.
  • Sort and store materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to size, type, product code, or predetermined sequence.
  • Transport materials from receiving areas to storage or designated locations.
  • Pick, assemble, and pack customer orders accurately and place them on pallets or in boxes.
  • Label and mark materials using appropriate identification tools.
  • Open bales, crates, and containers using proper tools and safety procedures.
  • Record quantities of materials received and distributed.
  • Weigh and count items to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Enter inventory records and transactions accurately using computer systems.
  • Operate forklifts safely to transport parts within the warehouse (if licensed).
  • Prepare parcels for dispatch and mailing.
  • Confirm inventory movements and update system records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Procurement & Store Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Diploma in Material Management or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar warehouse or logistics environment.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is essential.

Software Skills:

  • Computer literate with the ability to enter and maintain accurate records.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit to handle lifting and manual tasks.
  • Forklift license is an advantage.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
