Parttime Consultant

We are looking for Professional Consultants for KFUPM Master Plan. The King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is seeking Consultants for Professional Project Management and Technical Support Services for the KFUPM Master Plan Project. The scope basically comprises of supervisory and coordination work with regard to master planning and implementation exercises. The hired individuals or Consultants shall envision the future of KFUPM in the next 25 years and also guide KFUPM in developing the Vision by assessing the proposed policies and strategic changes, assist in budget preparation and prioritizing improvements in community services.

1. Project Manager (preferably 15 years of experience): Shall be an Urban and Regional Planner who has Masters Degree in urban planning and has previously worked on managing master plan projects and has experience in sustainability. Having PHD would be an added advantage. Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling workflow. Writing high quality reports with recommendations. Lead project teams, build relationships and manage community engagements. Technically review and suggest best practices for the different aspects of the master plan and sustainability. Attend, manage, and take minutes to ensure compliance of Master Planners to adhere to schedule of deliverables, and full coordination between all disciplines. Align lessons learned during surveys, interviews and field trips with goals and needs, and adjust to meet cultural requirements. Project Management during the execution phases to ensure client requirements are fulfilled.

2. Electro-Mechanical Consultant (preferably 10 years of experience): Shall have a Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline like mechanical or electrical with preferable master’s degree. Analyze problems and create innovative solutions by applying technical knowledge. Supervise and analyze the conditional/performance assessment of electro-mechanical utilities and systems in buildings and networks. Guide in developing technically excellent engineering solutions in the built environment. Capable to understand, inspect and report about the systems and networks related to Electrical and Mechanical engineering, Public Health, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Sustainability, Stormwater, Wastewater, Waste-recycling, Fire and Security, Building Management Systems and IT and Vertical Transportation. Able to handedly manage in preparation and execution of electro-mechanical systems’ retrofits/upgrades as per latest energy efficient technology. Always focus on energy conservation measures in all aspects of the work.

3. GIS Specialist (preferably 10 years of experience): Shall have a Bachelor’s degree in a discipline such as Urban Planning, Geography, or Engineering. Profound GIS knowledge with preferably a master’s degree in relevant discipline. As a GIS specialist is expected to work with various GIS tools. Supervising the development and management of GIS applications that are being developed by the master planner. Efficiently Maintaining and updating the geospatial database. Developing effective maps and aerial photography. Carry out planning and coordination of GIS activities to meet the outlined goals. Able to handle advanced Arc GIS tools in operating smart digitized maps of the Campus. Have knowledge of Digital Twins, VR, AI and advanced technologies alike. Create procedures and keep updating the maps as per changes requested and as-built information.

4.Stakeholder Engagement Officer (preferably 7 years of experience): Shall a Business or Literature Graduate with preferably master’s degree in relevant field. The candidate shall have experience in assisting executive personnel in stakeholder management. Responsible to facilitate collaboration between all the KFUPM stakeholders, Consultant and the Master Planner. Manage regular contact with all stakeholders to keep them informed of project activities, collaborative actions, and needs from the project. Can work along with PMO in establishing a very good spoken and written communication, for sharing information, scheduling and record-keeping. Able to prioritize the correspondences and coordinating for the timely responses from the stakeholders. Maintaining a good record of all the stakeholder engagements.

5. Project Management Officer (preferably 10 years of experience): Shall be a bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline with previous experience of working with higher management. Work exclusively under the KFUPM Project Director to assist project related administration, coordination and communication. Also assist the Consultant project manager in preparation of progress presentations. Achieve significant productivity in coordinating project tasks with various trades. Maintain and manage project documentation.

The Consultants annual contract shall be renewed for a maximum of 2 consecutive years based on the performance and for the part-time consultants it will be renewed for a maximum of 1 year based on the performance.
