Position: Pastry and Bakery Chef

Salary: SAR 3,000 to SAR 4,000 (based on knowledge and skills) PLUS free shared accommodation, transportation, and 1 duty meal

Location: Laysen Valley, Umm Al Hamam, Riyadh

Job Description: The Junior Pastry Chef supports the pastry section in producing high-quality desserts, baked goods, and specialty items that align with the café’s luxury standards. This role involves assisting senior pastry chefs, preparing ingredients, ensuring consistency, and maintaining strict hygiene and presentation standards. The position is ideal for someone passionate about pastry arts and eager to grow in a refined, high-volume environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Follow instructions from the Pastry Chef / CDP, ensuring timely and accurate production.
  • Prepare ingredients and mise en place for daily operations, including doughs, creams, fillings, and garnishes.
  • Maintain consistent product presentation, ensuring all items meet luxury café visual and taste expectations.
  • Monitor baking processes and adjust temperature or timing under supervision when required.
  • Ensure proper storage of ingredients, using correct labeling, rotation, and food safety practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry section, complying with HACCP and café standards.
  • Assist in inventory checks and notify seniors when supplies are low or ingredients need replenishment.
  • Support during peak hours by preparing items quickly and efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Learn and improve skills continuously, participating in training and assisting with new menu development when requested.

Basic Requirments:

  • Diploma / certificate OR advanced knowledge in pastry, baking, or culinary arts
  • 1–2 years of experience in pastry or bakery production, ideally in a café, hotel, or restaurant.
  • Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert preparation.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, especially in pastry environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ﷼3,000.00 - ﷼4,000.00 per month
