Job Vacancy: Bakery & Pastry Chef

We are seeking a talented and experienced Bakery & Pastry Chef to lead our bakery operations and deliver high-quality baked goods and desserts. The ideal candidate must be creative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing the full pastry section efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the bakery and pastry section.
  • Prepare a wide range of baked products including cakes, breads, pizza dough, cookies, pies, pastries, croissants, Danish, doughnuts, muffins, and artisan breads.
  • Develop innovative desserts and baked items to enhance the menu.
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all products.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries using professional finishing techniques.
  • Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards.
  • Monitor baking processes, control oven temperatures, and ensure product accuracy.
  • Supervise, train, and guide pastry team members.
  • Manage stock control, ingredient ordering, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain recipe standards, production logs, and portion control.
  • Coordinate with the culinary team for seasonal menus and special events.

Educational Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Bakery & Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts from a recognized institution.
  • Formal training in pastry techniques and kitchen operations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Pastry Chef, Head Baker, or similar role in a bakery, hotel, or restaurant.
  • Proven experience in producing high-quality desserts and specialty baked items.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and supervise a pastry team.
