Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, bake, and present pastries, breads, desserts, and bakery items according to restaurant standards.
  • Develop new recipes, seasonal menus, and dessert presentations.
  • Maintain high levels of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Ensure accurate measuring and mixing of ingredients.
  • Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product textures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry and bakery section.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations (HACCP standards).
  • Manage inventory, place ingredient orders, and minimize wastage.
  • Train and supervise junior staff if required.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team for menu planning and smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, dough preparation, baking methods, and dessert plating.
  • Creativity and passion for high-quality pastries and innovative desserts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Good time management, organizational skills, and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
