What Benefits can you Look Forward to?
Assists the pathologist in the preparation and performance of human surgical specimen dissection and dictation. These responsibilities include:
Performing and assuring appropriate specimen accessioning, summarization of patient's medical history, gross description and examination of surgical specimens, submission of tissue samples for histologic and other testing, and process/preserve all gross specimens.
Participation in quality and safety programs/meetings as they pertain to the gross dissection labs.
In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to use current techniques, computer programs and equipment in pathology.
This full time, 40 hour position is on the evening shift and may include rotating weekends, holidays and on-call.
