Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using medical office software.
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, and update medical records accurately in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding pre-visit instructions, appointment confirmations, and follow-up care plans.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
  • Manage incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries about services, billing, or appointments, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Maintain organized documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and administrative records using medical terminology.
  • Support billing processes by collecting co-pays and verifying insurance coverage when necessary.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a periodontal or dental office environment is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices is essential for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent medical administrative support in a fast-paced setting.
  • Office experience that includes managing schedules, data entry, and customer service is beneficial.
  • Experience working in a dental or outpatient clinic setting is a plus but not required. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
