Job Summary
This role is perfect for someone who’s both people-oriented and goal-focused. You’ll be the welcoming voice of our practice—building trust, presenting treatment plans, and helping patients see the value of choosing our specialists. Beyond standard administrative duties, this position relies on empathy, communication, and persuasion to turn inquiries into satisfied, scheduled patients. This position is ideal for someone skilled in customer service or sales, passionate about patient care, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first, friendly point of contact for all patients and referring offices.
- Handle inbound calls, emails, and messages promptly, converting inquiries into scheduled appointments and treatments.
- Present treatment plans to patients, effectively explaining procedures, benefits, and costs.
- Confidently discuss financial options and coverage to help patients move forward comfortably with treatment.
- Build rapport quickly and help patients feel informed and at ease while confidently guiding them toward the best care decisions with our board certified specialist(s).
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; accurately input data into Dentrix Ascend.
- Submit electronic insurance claims and send post-treatment reports to referring dentists.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to share feedback, identify opportunities, and continuously improve conversion rates.
- Maintain organized, efficient front desk operations while ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Relocate between Davie and Plantation offices as needed for coverage or training.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental/medical office or in sales, customer service, or hospitality with demonstrated success in converting leads or closing sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a persuasive, confident, and compassionate approach.
- Ability to explain complex information clearly and guide patients through decisions with empathy.
- Proficient in Dentrix Ascend or similar dental management software (training provided if needed).
- Self-motivated and results-oriented team player who thrives on meeting goals and improving outcomes.
- Detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and organized, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and multi-line phone systems.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Flexible and willing to adapt to changes as we continue to expand and innovate.
