Patient Care Tech - Full Time

The Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Care Tech (PCT) will be cross-trained to do check in and check out. They will be responsible for greeting patients and checking patients in at the outpatient surgery center. Under the supervision of the RN, they will also perform various care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety or our surgical patients at our Outpatient Surgery Center.

• Welcome and greet all patients and visitors when they check in at the surgery center
• Ability to multitask and keep up with a high volume of patients
• Accurately enter and/or update new information within the patient chart
• Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
• Scan patient documents to the patient’s electronic chart
• Listen and respond to patient needs and concerns
• Facilitate patient movement throughout the surgery center
• Assist with surgery room turnovers, as well as getting supplies
• Assist with patient care in pre and post areas
• Communicate patient concerns to nurses
• Keep patient areas clean, orderly, and stocked
• Close facility
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with company policies and procedures
