Patient Care Technician/Phlebotomist

We are currently looking for a Full-Time Certified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician to join our team in the Summit & Union offices of our bustling Hematology/Oncology practice. As a CMA, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional healthcare to our patients. Phlebotomy skills are a must-have, and previous experience in the lab and reception desk is highly desirable. Knowledge of EPIC EMR is also a plus.

Hours of shift would be: Monday-Friday 8hr shift to be discussed

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, and assisting physicians during procedures
  • Conduct phlebotomy, lab work, and other diagnostic tests on patients as required
  • Update patient charts and medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure that all medical equipment is functioning correctly
  • Communicate with patients about their healthcare needs, including medication instructions and test results
  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment
  • Assist with clinical duties as required, including triaging answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant with prior experience
  • Phlebotomy skills are essential
  • Knowledge of EPIC is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
