Patient Coordinator

The Patient Coordinator cum Admin Assistant will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient engagement and coordination in our telehealth platform. They will serve as a key point of contact between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that patients receive the care they need efficiently and with high levels of satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be organized, empathetic, and able to manage multiple tasks related to patient care and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients accessing telehealth services.
  • Assist patients in scheduling, rescheduling, or cancelling telehealth appointments.
  • Answer patient inquiries regarding telehealth services, appointments, and follow-up procedures.
  • Provide patients with pre-appointment instructions, such as technology setup or information about the telehealth platform.
  • Coordination and Documentation:
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers (physicians, nurses, therapists, etc.) to ensure smooth appointment scheduling.
  • Ensure patient records are up-to-date and accurately maintained in the telehealth system.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of necessary documentation for patient visits, including medical records and follow-up instructions.
  • Track patient progress and follow up with both patients and providers to ensure timely and appropriate care.
  • Support and Troubleshooting:
  • Provide basic technical support to patients who need assistance using the telehealth platform.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that patients may encounter during the telehealth visit (e.g., connectivity issues).
  • Patient Satisfaction and Feedback:
  • Gather and assess patient feedback to continuously improve patient experience.
  • Proactively follow up with patients post-consultation to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional needs.
  • Patient Education:
  • Provide patients with relevant health education materials based on the consultation or healthcare provider's recommendations.
  • Assist patients with navigating additional services such as prescription refills, referrals, and lab results.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality:
  • Ensure compliance with all telehealth protocols and patient confidentiality policies (HIPAA or other relevant regulations).
  • Maintain awareness of healthcare regulations and best practices in telehealth.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, patient coordination, or healthcare customer service.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in using digital communication tools, including video conferencing platforms.
  • Empathy and a patient-focused mindset.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
