As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our dental office. You will be the first voice our patients hear on the phone and the first face they see when they enter the office. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and providing exceptional customer service. ```Responsibilities```
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Greet patients and provide them with necessary paperwork
- Collect and update patient information in the system
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documents
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Manage medical records and ensure their accuracy and confidentiality
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
```Qualifications```
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience working in a dental office or similar healthcare setting
- Proficiency in dental terminology, cdt coding systems
- Familiarity with dental billing and collection processes
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Dentrix dental software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times
