Patient Outreach Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking talent individuals to join our organization as Patient Outreach Coordinators for night shift operations. The specialist will handle both inbound and outbound patient calls, providing essential communication and support regarding patient scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls, respond to email inquiries, or direct them to the appropriate department or person.
  • Communicate with patients to set up and schedule appointments.
  • Make appointment confirmation calls when necessary.
  • Collect, track, and input patient medical information into electronic health records (EHR).
  • Inquire about and process patient health insurance details.
  • Obtain prior authorization from insurance providers when required.
  • Verify insurance benefits by contacting providers via phone, email, or fax.
  • Collaborate with the internal office team and healthcare providers to ensure patients receive timely assistance and day-to-day tasks are completed effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Efficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance plans.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or as a virtual receptionist.
  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred within the US healthcare industry.
  • Experience working with US campaigns and exposure to US clients is required.
