Patient Service Representative

ABOUT US:

WellFast Urgent Care was founded in 2006 by Emergency Medicine physicians with a vision: to provide high quality health care to patients presenting with unexpected minor illnesses and injuries in a friendly environment, without long waiting times, and for a reasonable fee. Twenty years later, we have grown to offer a variety of services encompassing urgent care, occupational medicine, and physicals to the Lawton/Ft. Sill community and the surrounding areas. We have also been locally voted Best Urgent Care in SW Oklahoma for the last 10 years!

We are seeking to hire an exceptional customer service professional with experience in the healthcare industry to join our team.

Duties include:

• Greeting patients
• Managing on-line registration system
• Registering patients using Practice Management Software
• Entering, updating, verifying and analyzing health insurance plans
• Collecting and processing patient payments
• Scanning documents into patient’s charts
• Checking patients out
• Balancing cash drawer and creating end of business day reports
• Answering phones
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Professional outgoing and friendly personality
• 1 year of front desk experience in a clinical setting
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both in-person and over the phone including outstanding telephone etiquette)
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with patients and staff effectively
• Multitasking ability
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills
• Solid work ethic (including reliability and punctuality)
• Willing to be part of a strong team
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to pass a background and drug screen (random)
• Able to work 11 hour shifts and every other weekend (FT is three full and on 1/2 shift Monday - Sunday). Clinic hours are Mon-Sat 9am -8pm and Sun 1-7pm.

Wage starts at $16/hr but may be higher depending on experience and skill set.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
