Patient Transporter

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Transporter to join our healthcare team. This role involves safely transporting patients to and from dialysis treatments, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have experience in home and community care, patient care, or hospital settings, and possess the necessary skills to support patients during transport. Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from appointments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
• Assist patients with boarding and disembarking from transportation vehicles, providing support as needed
• Monitor patient condition during transit, recognizing any signs of distress or emergencies
• Maintain clear communication with medical staff regarding patient status and transportation details
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of transportation equipment and vehicles
• Document transportation activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Follow all safety procedures, including infection control practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Skills

• Prior experience in home and community care ornursing home settings preferred
• Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward vulnerable populations
• Ability to handle critical care transport situations calmly and efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with medical teams and assisting patients
• Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
