Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Transporter you will primarily be responsible for the safe transport of all patients throughout the hospital and assist the nursing staff in performing complex lifts, transfers and safe positioning of patients under the supervision of the patient’s registered nurse.

• You will be responsible for delivering high quality care in transporting all types of patients and assisting in the care of patients requiring moderate to total assistance in moving.
• You will need to assist in any area of the hospital and in any way necessary to facilitate patient care.
• Responsible for keeping transporting devices clean and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Responsible for wiping down the equipment upon the completion of each transport.

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma or GEDrequired
• BLS certificationrequired
• Hospital-related experiencepreferred
