Description:
St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid Atlantic, is seeking a full-time Patient Transporter to join our Team.Job Title: Transporter
Employment Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Shift: Evening Shift, 12:00pm to 8:30pm
Location: St. Mary Medical Center

Position Purpose

  • To transport patients to locations throughout St. Mary Medical Center
As a Transporteryou will:
  • Transports patients on stretchers, beds and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported.
  • Cooperatively assists in lifting patients in and out of bed as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.
  • Promptly reports any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.
  • Cleans wheelchairs and ensures each area has an adequate number.
  • Observes for and reports safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or equivalency (required)
  • CPR Certification - issued by AHA.
  • Fingerprint& Child Abuse History Clearance (completed during onboarding if offered a position)
