SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure compliance with payer rules and regulations.
Billing various payers including Medicare, Commercial, and Medicaid
Perform routine follow-up on Outstanding AR and Cash Management Team
Assign and control the work flow of a supervised unit.
Monitor the Supervising Senior HCI, Senior HCIs, and Coordinating Manager team productivity.
Review of accounts for accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and documenting Supervising Snr. HCI and Coordinating Manager with time/leave issues.
Communication with other departments: Central Office, Utilization Management, Medical Records, Patient Access, Registration, etc. to resolve DNB and denial issues
Assist in the training and skills development of new staff and current staff as needed.
Assignment of special projects with: UM, Managed Care, Special Audits, Rehab, Rad. Onc, HIM, Phycare, etc.

Process refunds to insurance companies
Weekly meeting with Patient Accounts / Follow-up Manager and or Director to review the work for the week, discuss team productivity.
Review and work appropriate accounts to maximize A/R reduction and minimize write-offs.
Review payer denials and underpayments and work to resolution.
Attend all necessary training sessions to effectively perform the day-to-day functions of the position.
Perform all other duties as assigned the Director
Progressively discipline staff and attend to Labor issues
1.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related discipline; and 2.Three (3) years of experience in accounting, finance or business administration; one (1) year of which must have been in a responsible supervisory or managerial capacity managing accounts or credits.
