The position is responsible to accurately maintain and monitor TriMark’s time and attendance software system and files to transmit data for the correct processing of payroll for employees of TriMark Corporate, TriMark Minnesota, TriMark Quincy and remote employees. The position is responsible for TriMark Corporation’s door access security system which includes pass card entry. This position requires a high-level working knowledge of human resource information systems (HRIS). The ability to understand and adjust background settings, develop reporting, partner with Dayforce personnel to understand and grow HRIS capabilities to continuously improve current process and utilize automation when possible.

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
This HR Administrator position's main responsibility is to ensures the efficient operation and accuracy of payroll processing in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws. The position acts as the payroll database administrator for TriMark and answers questions pertaining to the payroll software. The position is the primary contact between TriMark and the outside payroll provider. This position understands and adjusts settings, develops reporting, partners with Dayforce personnel, grows TriMark HRIS capabilities, and continuously improves the current process to utilize automation.
The position is responsible to ensure that all personnel and payroll records are up to date, thus allowing accurate and timely reports and tax returns to be generated for the IRS, government, and internal use. This activity requires the management of a third-party vendor to achieve administrative requirements. The position accumulates information at the end of each month for management review such as employee counts, hours, wages, etc. to ensure that management has timely and accurate information available for making business decisions. The position processes all bonuses, service awards, and other off-cycle payments to employees.
The position supports disciplinary action preparation for time and attendance related issues and accurate record tracking of these disciplinary actions. The position is responsible for door access security for TriMark Corporation utilizing the appropriate security systems. This position is the back-up for the Benefits Administrator and will handle other HR-related administrative tasks as needed.
A requirement of this position is the ability to interact with individuals throughout the company, as well as external associates. Therefore, this Payroll Administrator must possess excellent communication skills, including both written and oral. The incumbent must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times to promote good working relationships among supervisors, employees, and peers.
It is critical that this Payroll Administrator possesses a high degree of confidentiality by virtue of the sensitive information that is disclosed to the incumbent. Due to the nature of the work, accuracy and attention to detail is critical in this position. The incumbent must be HR information system (HRIS) proficient, possess superb organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and/or duties to remain as efficient as possible.

Attention to Detail - Accuracy to ensure payroll is correct, testing to understand impacts of system setting changes prior to implementation, and rechecking work to limit errors are crucial skills for this position.
The office area is air-conditioned and working conditions are excellent. Normal or corrected vision with no color deficiency, normal depth perception and peripheral vision of 180 degrees is required. Safety glasses are required whenever office personnel are in the plant production area. Safety shoes are required whenever the position is working on the shop floor for an extended period of time. Noise levels within the office are 50-80db. Hearing protection is not required within the office but is encouraged when the position is in high-noise areas of the plant for more than brief visits.
