Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Process payroll using various systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, and Ceridian to ensure accurate employee compensation.
- Perform data entry and maintain detailed records related to payroll transactions, benefits administration, and tax filings.
- Reconcile accounts through general ledger accounting practices, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Manage benefits administration tasks including enrollments, changes, and compliance with applicable laws.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions by processing invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring timely financial transactions.
- Assist with governmental and non-profit accounting requirements related to payroll taxes, reporting, and audits.
- Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant tax regulations and ensure accurate tax withholding and reporting.
- Collaborate with human resources teams on HRIS management to update employee records and process new hires or terminations efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with payroll management software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos or UltiPro is essential.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including general ledger accounting, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with financial concepts related to benefits administration, governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms is preferred.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; experience with 10 key typing is advantageous.
- Ability to analyze complex payroll data accurately using analysis skills to resolve discrepancies swiftly.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems for managing employee information effectively.
- Strong understanding of technical accounting practices including double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation.
