Job Description
The primary focus of this role is managing employment services. This includes processing payroll, employment changes, insurance, and retirement programs. U.S. Federal, state, and local compliance is also a key component within this role.
Job Responsibilities
Payroll is processed accordingly for two separate employment groups (bi-weekly and monthly) to include salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
i-9 documents and forms reviewed bi-weekly and within the annual audit process.
Employment processes and standards are followed accordingly.
Perform routine audits to ensure system compatibility and working properly in accordance with policy.
Year end documents (W-2's and 1095's) are provided in advance of the required deadline.
Provide employee and manager training.
Process manual payments as needed.
Monitor government coding and internal audits semi-annually.
Ensure state and federal compliance in all aspects of payroll and employment changes.
Process contributions on a scheduled cycle.
Benefits
Insurance is offered to new hires and to employees who are moving to a qualifying employment status.
Pay insurance and benefits bills monthly
Balance and pay retirement contributions for each payroll cycle working with the HR Assistant.
Work with insurance companies on billing and coverage issues
Assist in the annual retirement program audit
Organize, prepare, distribute resources for the annual Open Enrollment event and insurance changes to each employee's account
Coordinate the Open Enrollment event along with providing benefit explanations to groups of employees
Services and Support
Collaborate with HR Teams
Participate in Onboarding and Exit Interviews
Process employment verifications and post employment claims.
Partner with the SIL Finance Office
Establish a relationship with payroll and benefits tech support teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to work in a team environment
Proficient with Google sheets, docs, Gmail, payroll-cloud system, and excel
Knowledge of insurance processing helpful
Ability to maintain 100% CONFIDENTIALITY and professionalism with payroll and personnel information.
Education and Experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources.
2 + years of experience in HR, payroll or benefits environments.
HR experience preferred.
Work Location
Dallas, TX Campus Setting Mondays - Fridays.
Paid Position Information
$18 - $19.25 per Hour
