Role Summary
The Payroll and Tax Reporting Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate Payroll processing and compliant delivery of payroll tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Personal Income Tax (PIT) and shadow payroll processes. The role will manage relationships with external tax advisors, maintain compliance with statutory requirements, and support continuous improvement of payroll tax processes. This role will also generate and deliver payroll/tax analytics dashboards to provide insight into trends and risks, while contributing to the education of the wider payroll team in developing analytical skills, along with providing support with monthly payroll processing.
Responsibilities

Process assigned global payrolls accurately, timely and compliantly.

Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in payroll records.

Audit responsibilities include reconciliation of pay period payroll reports, preliminary payroll audits and validation and review of entries made prior to payroll processing.

Enter payroll related data into the HRIS (banking information, tax elections etc).

Action HRIS inbox items such as promotions, demotions, transfers, address changes, etc.

Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports to Accounting and Treasury.

Payroll integration testing for HRIS releases or enhancements as needed.

Recommends improvements to practices and procedures to further develop consistency and quality.

Responsible for the validation of returned shadow payroll files to ensure all employees, compensation, and country-day data are accurately captured, coordinating with HR and Finance for validation. Maintain country shadow payroll files monthly to support with end of year reporting. Responsible for the Personal Income Tax (PIT) compliance process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all filings.

Responsible for the preparation and submission of shadow payroll data in partnership with external tax advisors.

Draft and maintain process documentation for payroll tax and shadow payroll activities.

Responsible for the generation and issuance of annual employee tax letters.

Evaluate payroll tax processes and recommend enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Act as the primary point of contact with external tax advisors, managing information flow, review of calculations, and addressing queries.

Monitor changes to tax legislation and assess the impact on payroll operation and report updates to the Team.

Liaise with external tax advisors on Employee Tax matters and support any tax audit requirements from Tax/Finance teams with regards to Employee taxes paid.

Conduct reconciliation between Payroll and tax filing.

Interface with internal and external auditors to provide requested information and ensure payroll compliance with documented procedures.

Ensure Compliance with Social security contributions and other statutory deductions.

Support the Payroll and Compliance Supervisor in responding to audits and compliance reviews.

Ensure compliance with global payroll tax regulations and internal audit requirements.

Generate monthly and quarterly payroll and tax dashboards, highlighting key trends, risks, and variances.

Provide analytical insights to support compliance monitoring and cost management.
Qualifications and Experience
Professional payroll/tax qualifications (e.g., CIPP, ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) desirable.
Extensive experience of end-to-end payroll activities including shadow payroll management.
