Job Brief:
The Payroll & Operations Assistant ensures accurate payroll processing and compliance with UAE labour laws, while supporting HR operations. The role manages payroll activities (salaries, benefits, WPS, UAE Pension) and coordinates with the PRO to oversee visas, labour permits, and related government requirements, ensuring employees are paid correctly and all processes are delivered on time.
Job Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing

Process end-to-end payroll in HRIS, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, allowances, overtime, variable compensation, and compliance with WPS requirements.

Ensure timely salary transfers and accurate preparation of payroll files.

Support pension registration, updates, and deductions in line with UAE laws and regulations.
Compliance & Records

Maintain accurate payroll data and employee records in and digital personnel files.

Deliver ad hoc payroll and HR analytics to management to support decision-making.

Prepare and submit payroll reports for management, finance, and statutory requirements (e.g., WPS uploads and pension submissions) as required.

Safeguard confidentiality and ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law and company policies.
Routine HR and Payroll Enquiries

Respond to employee queries on payroll, payslips, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.

Investigate and resolve routine payroll-related inquiries, escalating complex cases when necessary.

Handle routine HR day-to-day enquiries and provide clear guidance to employees.
Benefits Administration

Update and maintain employee benefits (insurance, allowances, and contributions) in the HRIS

Liaise with providers and HR colleagues to ensure accurate administration of employee benefits and contributions.
Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate payroll accounting, reconciliation, and reporting.

Support internal and external audit requirements by providing payroll data, documentation, and explanations as needed.
General HR Operations

Support the PRO by preparing documentation for visas, labour permits, and other government requirements.

Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including profile setup, benefits enrollment, exit clearance, and accurate calculation of final settlement in line with UAE Labour Law.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll and HR processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Essential Skills:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing payroll data and employee records.

Good understanding of the UAE Labour Law, payroll regulations, WPS, and statutory compliance.

Proficient in HRIS systems with advanced MS Excel skills

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive HR information with discretion.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll processing and HR operations, preferably within the UAE.

Experience working with an HRIS/payroll system.
-
Familiarity with UAE Labour Law, WPS, and Pension regulations.

Prior experience in HR administration (onboarding, benefits, employee records) is desirable.
Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

HR or Payroll certifications (e.g., CIPD Level 3, CHRP, or payroll courses) are an advantage but not mandatory.
