Payroll Specialist

Objective:

The PayrollHRIS Lead ensures accurate and timely payroll processing in collaboration with the company's payroll vendor. This position maintains HRIS data integrity, supports benefits administration, and provides reporting and audit support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for employee payroll, paychecks, PTO, and HRIS data inquiries.
  • Audit and maintain employee records to ensure accuracy in payroll and benefits systems.
  • Prepare, review, and transmit payroll reports to the external payroll vendor.
  • Monitor and track garnishments, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Partner with the payroll vendor during audits, providing documentation and insights.
  • Build and analyze HRIS reports to support business decisions.
  • Support benefits setup, enrollment, and data file feeds to vendors.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to enhance system processes and resolve issues.
  • Anticipate potential issues and communicate cross-functionally to mitigate downstream impacts.

Key Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with ADP or similar payroll/HRIS systems.
  • Experience supporting payroll operations and benefits administration in a multi-state environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Preferred certification: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or equivalent HR/payroll credential.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position with in-office hours Monday through Friday, offering flexibility as needed.
