Payroll Manager

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven experience managing payroll

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and labor laws.
• Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., Paycor, Smartlinx or similar platforms)
• Strong analytical skills for auditing payroll data and resolving discrepancies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).

Leadership & Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred:

• Experience with benefits administration, garnishments, and union payroll.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
