Job Overview

JBC Business card & Construction Support is seeking a meticulous and organised Payroll & Purchasing Specialist (Remote) to join our dynamic team. This is a Full-Time & Part-Time position based in our Queens, New York, United States office. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our financial operations, managing the end-to-end payroll process and overseeing all purchasing activities for our diverse business, which spans business card printing services and construction support solutions. We are looking for a professional who can ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all related tasks, contributing directly to the smooth running of our company. The salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 USD per annum, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

* Process company payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all employees are paid correctly.
* Manage and maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions.
* Handle all payroll-related enquiries from employees in a professional and confidential manner.
* Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and employment laws.
* Manage the procurement of materials, supplies, and services for both our printing and construction support divisions.
* Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their offerings, and negotiate favourable terms and pricing.
* Create, issue, and manage purchase orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
* Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any discrepancies with invoices or orders.
* Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and assist with inventory management.
* Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end closing processes and reporting.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in a role with responsibility for both payroll and purchasing functions.
* In-depth knowledge of US payroll procedures, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrable experience in procurement, including vendor sourcing, negotiation, and relationship management.
* Exceptional numerical accuracy and a high level of attention to detail.
* Proficiency in using payroll software and the MS Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or business administration is desirable but not essential.
