Payroll Specialist

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a respected third-party administrator and consulting firm providing financial and operational support services to multiple nursing homes across the State of Arkansas. They are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist Consultant to assist with a short-term project focused on auditing payroll data, coding accuracy, deductions, and tax compliance.

Project Duration: Approximately 6–8 weeks

Position Summary:
The Payroll Specialist Consultant will perform a thorough audit of payroll records for several facilities, ensuring that all payroll transactions are properly coded and compliant with applicable tax and regulatory requirements. This role requires hands-on experience with ADP systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills for detailed analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit employee payroll files to verify accurate earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Review payroll coding for proper GL and departmental allocations.
• Identify and document discrepancies or inconsistencies in payroll data across multiple facilities.
• Collaborate with internal accounting and HR teams to correct errors and improve processes.
• Generate detailed audit reports and recommendations for compliance and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure all payroll practices align with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of payroll auditing or processing experience (multi-facility or healthcare setting preferred).
• Proficient in ADP Payroll systems and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, and general ledger posting.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
• Availability to work on-site in Little Rock, AR for the project duration.
