Payroll & HR Specialist (Part-Time) – Construction Subcontractor

Company: Precision Floor Covering, Inc.
Location: Irvine, California

Precision Floor Covering, a leading commercial flooring subcontractor in Southern California, is seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis (20-25 hours per week, flexible)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage weekly payroll processing for subcontractor and in-house labor teams
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with prevailing wage requirements
  • Prepare and submit DAS 140/142 filings and certified payroll reports
  • Maintain payroll and labor compliance records for audits
  • Handle all aspects of employee onboarding and HR compliance (I-9, W-4, new hire packets, etc.)
  • Support management with payroll and HR reporting as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years payroll experience in construction (subcontractor experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven expertise with Prevailing Wage (certified payroll & DAS filings)
  • Strong understanding of construction labor laws and subcontractor payroll structures
  • Experience in HR onboarding and compliance documentation
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-Time 20-25 hours per week (flexible schedule)
  • Competitive hourly rate, DOE
