Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, payroll management, and accounting principles. Bilingual with Spanish is preferred.

Duties

  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and maintain accurate records related to benefits administration.
  • Assist with Quickbooks accounts payable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices.
  • Utilize Quickbooks software for payroll processing and reporting.
  • Enter accruals and journal entries. Prepare financials for review.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Accountant or in a similar role within accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts related to payroll management and Quickbooks.
  • Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
  • Understanding of governmental accounting practices is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
