Location: RLIC, Industrial Area, and other project sites
Employment Type: Contract (24 months, extendable)
Salary: QAR 14,000 Full Package

About the Role:
Join a top-tier technology company specializing in industrial automation as a PCS7 & Siemens Automation Systems Engineer! The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Siemens DCS, PLCs, SCADA systems, and associated protocols. This role requires a highly motivated professional capable of managing projects independently, troubleshooting complex issues, and leading junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, engineer, and implement automation solutions using PCS7, TIA Portal, WinCC, and Simatic Batch.
• Develop, configure, and maintain PLCs including S7-400, S7-300, S7-1200, and S7-1500.
• Work with industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, Modbus (RTU & TCP/IP), OPC, HART, PRP, HSR, and IEC 61850.
• Implement and maintain server-client architectures and OPC servers.
• Apply cybersecurity best practices in IT/OT environments (whitelisting, system hardening, domain setup, patch management, antivirus configuration).
• Utilize Siemens Process Historian and Information Server for data management and reporting.
• Lead project activities including design, internal testing, FAT, commissioning, and SAT.
• Prepare detailed documentation including FDS, cabinet drawings, testing procedures, heat load calculations, and O&M manuals.
• Provide customer training and support, addressing complex technical challenges.
• Manage and mentor a team of junior engineers.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with:
• PCS7 V9.0 and above (APL, PC, IL libraries)
• TIA Portal V16 and above
• WinCC (object customization experience)
• Simatic Batch
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in scripting.
• Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
• Solid understanding of process industry verticals such as Water & Wastewater, Power Management Systems, PLC-based substation control, Metals & Mining, etc.
• Experience in electrical and control systems is an advantage.
