Pediatric Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality dental care to children, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout their dental visits. You will work closely with the dental team to promote good oral hygiene practices and assist in the overall management of our pediatric patients' dental health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations for pediatric patients.
• Educate children and their guardians on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans.
• Utilize medical imaging techniques to assess dental health and diagnose issues.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
• Stay updated on current dental practices, tools, and technologies relevant to pediatric dentistry.

Skills

• Proficient in using Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
• Familiarity with medical coding practices as they pertain to dental procedures.
• Knowledge of general dentistry principles, including anatomy knowledge relevant to pediatric patients.
• Experience in assisting within a dental office environment is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform medical imaging tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly with children and their families, fostering a positive experience during visits.

Pertinent information:

* Expected days: Wednesdays(except 2nd and 3rd of the month, Thursdays

* Other days may be available as needed

* A full time position may be available in the future

* Hours: 8:15 AM - 1 PM, 2 PM-5:15PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
