Pediatric Medical Assistant

Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care to children. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with pediatric physicians and nurses that values compassion, accuracy, and teamwork. You will support clinical operations by performing vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, managing patient intake, and ensuring smooth clinic flow. Your expertise in pediatric physiology, medical terminology will help create a positive experience for young patients and their families while maintaining high standards of care.

Duties

  • Greet and assist pediatric patients and their families with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to discharge
  • Collect patient histories, perform vital signs measurement, and document findings accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring comfort
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations, including medication administration, immunizations and testing
  • Maintain clinical supplies, sterilize equipment, and ensure cleanliness of treatment areas following safety standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Experience working as a Medical Assistant in pediatrics preferred
  • Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and patient management
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks including medication administration, vital signs collection, preferred
  • Strong communication skills to support patient service excellence and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
