Penrose Cannabis is hiring for an Admin/Compliance Manager
The Admin/Compliance Manager is a critical role ensuring the compliant and successful operations and post-harvest care for product. You will serve as the initial point of contact for internal and external communication. This includes the warehouse leads and staff, couriers, vendors, along with any correspondence for testing and compliance. The perfect candidate will have:

Ø Proficiency in MS Office suite, including strong MS excel, fast and accurate data entry
Ø 3+ years’ experience in regulated cannabis
Ø A mastery of Metrc with 2+ years of experience
Ø Minimum 1 year of compliance experience
Ø Minimum 1 year of inventory audit control in Cannabis manufacturing, productions, or retail
Ø An ability to establish protocols, create tracking systems, and write SOP’s
Ø Excellent grammatical, proofreading, and editing skills
Ø Cursory knowledge of OSHA and Worker Protection Standard guidelines
Ø An ability to create and implement procedures, walk thru and problem solve for employee implementation of those procedures
Ø Excellent analytical and reporting skills
Ø Maintain strong channels of communications with Managers, Leads, and staff.
Qualifications:
· In-depth understanding of the flow of Production, with the ability to manage firm (and flexible) priorities to maintain flow.
· Assure compliance in the facility and report compliance issues to Department heads or to head Administration.
· Understand, summarize and communicate complex issues, with the ability to break those down into simple solvable problems and SOPs
· Working and current in-depth knowledge of the Colorado cannabis industry/ laws.
Oversight of the Warehouse Manager includes 3 main areas:
Administration
Compliance
Overseeing Processing (drying, curing, trimming, packaging) and testing
Administration
Responsibilities:
· Daily Metrc data entry for plant changes and harvest weights
· Tracking testing reports and creating calendars for ongoing testing
· Creating invoices and shipping manifests
· Implementing inventory control
· Answer customer questions, write up orders, and schedule deliveries
· Building compliance binders, assist in compliance reviews
· Auditing and Inventory
· Must be willing to be ‘on-call’ for Metrc or compliance issues.
Compliance
Responsibilities:
· Compliance will oversee Metrc, including plan/write procedures, create tracking logs and sheets, and ensure data is recorded/entered daily.
· Train and oversee Metrc-Assistant(s) to perform basic data-entry functions.
· Initial point of contact for incoming calls on delivery/purchaser questions, or for compliance and testing matters.
· Maintains ordering, controls, and inventories of office supplies and budgets.
· Assist with shipping and printing needs.
· Maintains Testing schedules, test reports, logs and tracks harvest and plant data.
· Conducts reviews on department compliance and tracking logs. Ensures company-wide compliance.
· Create simple manuals for training and record-keeping.
· Help to enhance company culture: seek out ways to keep the company awesome.
Post-Harvest Care of Product
Responsibilities:
· Serve as the initial point of contact for internal and employee calls or needs for the Processing and warehouse staff. This will include Coordinating with Processing and GH Leads, employee scheduling, hiring, and internal needs.
· Oversee day -to-day functions from pre-harvest processes thru Product shipping.
· Hire, train, and oversee warehouse staff.
· Coordinate with Greenhouse and Admin Managers to schedule harvest calendars, assignment of duties, staffing and needs.
· Manage packaging, labeling, and shipping functions.
· Make operational decisions and communicate them in a warm but firm way.
· Maintains ordering, controls, and inventories of warehouse supplies and budgets.
· Carries out the physical batching and harvesting, including coordinating sample collection and testing needs.
· Ensures Processing is handled compliantly, environmental and equipment are functional, and all SOPs and procedures are adhered too.
· Maintains Control of Product from harvest until Product is shipped from facility.
· Oversees Leads and needs for the entire Processing operation.
· Ensure employees and Leads meet goals and quotas for Production.
· Help to enhance company culture: seek out ways to keep the company awesome. Create challenges and awards for warehouse staff and Leads.
· Maintains calendars, writes out employee schedules, and work scheduling priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
