People & Culture Manager

Reporting to: CEO


We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager to lead and oversee the full spectrum of HR functions within a dynamic Retail and FMCG environment. The role will manage two key HR leaders—the HR Operations Manager and the Talent Manager—ensuring efficient HR service delivery, strong talent management, and alignment of people strategies with business objectives. The ideal candidate will drive organizational culture, workforce planning, and HR operational excellence across the company.

Lychee is the leading player in the rapidly growing healthy food industry in Egypt, with a unique and highly scalable position in the market that combines a healthy fast- food retail arm and a manufacturing arm for healthy packaged foods. Most notably fresh juices and Greek yogurt.


As part of our greater mission to make healthier food choices accessible and sustainable for people's everyday lifestyle - we're extending our commitment to the region with our entry into the Saudi Arabian market, with a substantial retail expansion plan and on-ground operations starting Q2, 2025 in Riyadh.


Lychee relies on both its manufacturing capabilities and brand recognition built over a decade to expand its retail operations seamlessly based on customer demand and to scale its existing presence in modern trade, traditional trade and quick commerce.


What will you be doing?

  • Lead and oversee the HR function across the organization, ensuring alignment of HR strategies with overall business objectives in the Retail and FMCG sectors.
  • Manage and develop the HR leadership team, including the HR Operations Manager and Talent Section Head, ensuring high performance and effective team collaboration.
  • Design and implement people strategies that support business growth, employee engagement, and organizational culture.
  • Oversee HR operations, including payroll coordination, employee records, HR policies, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Lead talent acquisition and employer branding initiatives to attract and retain high-performing talent across retail operations, corporate functions, and supply chain roles.
  • Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning across all departments.
  • Develop and implement learning and development programs to enhance employee capabilities, leadership pipeline, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and HR best practices, particularly those relevant to retail operations and field workforce management.
  • Partner with senior leadership and department heads to provide strategic HR advice on workforce planning, restructuring, and organizational development.
  • Lead employee engagement and culture initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.
  • Monitor HR metrics and analytics (turnover, hiring efficiency, engagement, absenteeism, etc.) and provide insights to improve workforce effectiveness.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and grievance handling in a fair and consistent manner.


What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, preferably, 4 years in Talent Acquisition or OD
  • Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills in fast paced organization
  • Strong experience in aligning HR strategies with business goals, workforce planning, and organizational development
  • Solid knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, labor law compliance, and performance management
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
