Perianesthesia Patient Care Technician

Perianesthesia setting consists of the Day Surgery and PACU.

Performs the function of a Perianesthesia Patient Care technician in carrying out all assignments under the direction of an RN in Day Surgery and/or PACU. Is accountable for all patient care he/she gives in the Perianesthesia setting. Is responsible for adhering to all standards of Nursing Practice and for promoting teamwork among colleagues through collaboration and respect.

Position Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school graduate
• Preferred Education: Completion of nursing assistant certification training and competency exams as approved by the State Board of Health. Completion of Nursing Fundamentals Course, EMT Course, or Medical Assistant Course.
• Minimum Experience: Effective verbal and written skills. Effective customer service. Computer keyboard skills
• Preferred Experience: One year of healthcare experience preferred
• Certifications Required: Healthcare Provider CPR certification
• Certifications Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or EMT Certification
