Summary

The Permit Administrator is responsible for obtaining permits and inspections for the HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Commercial departments. They will also handle the accounting administration of all permitted jobs in our main operating system, process and code the purchase orders for the county permit fees and charges.

Essential Functions

• Review, log and track permit applications
• Process and submit permit applications to individual counties.
• Update customer accounts with permit numbers and notes
• Complete purchase orders for each permit filed.
• Monitor and answer emails/phone for the Permitting Department
• Schedule inspections and secure inspection approval
• Serve as primary point of contact between organization and permitting authorities
• Other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalency required
• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Computer proficiency skills including MS Office.
• Experience with Service Titan is an asset.
• Knowledge of basic office skills, practices, and procedures, including filing and general clerical functions
• Knowledge of business and general accounting principles including the ability to prepare purchase orders, deposit slips and invoices.
• Ability to schedule, organize, and execute assigned tasks and understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate, meet and deal with the vendors and team members in a pleasant, courteous manner.
• Ability to handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout day.
• Ability to accurately record and transfer data from one source to another and maintain strict confidentiality.
• An interest in working in a fast-paced environment focused on teamwork and collaboration.
• A can-do attitude with a high degree of integrity, sense of urgency
