Personal Assistant Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and detail-oriented Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide dedicated support to individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. Client is a 80 year old woman living with her husband.They have a medium sized dog.

Monday to Friday,9am to 3pm

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately
• Help with self Administered medication and assist with medication management following care plans and HIPAA regulations
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning tasks to promote hygiene and comfort
• Support clients during outings or community activities, encouraging social engagement and independence

Skills

• Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices
• Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently in emergency situations
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs
• Strong understanding of medication administration, care plans, and vital signs monitoring
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
• Physical ability for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident transfers
• Compassionate attitude combined with professionalism to deliver respectful patient-centered care
