Personal Care Aide

Join our dynamic team as a Personal Care Aide, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of support at an Adult Day Center. You will provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities, ensuring that each client feels valued and cared for. Your dedication will empower those you assist to maintain their independence while receiving the care they deserve.

What you’ll do

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), at an adult day center, including feeding, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient conditions to ensure optimal care.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization tasks.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies.
• Work with the elderly and disabled
• Assist Activities Director with activities as needed

Basic qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with physical mobility.
• Ability to bend, walk, lift at least 40 lbs
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Must have reliable transportation

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in home health or assisted living environments.
• Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
• Knowledge of First Aid, CPR, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance and safety.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
