Personal Care Assistant

<Responsibilities>

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor residents’ health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records
• Support medication administration following prescribed guidelines and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and confidentiality
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs
• Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer devices to safely move residents and prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and follow personalized care plans focused on resident well-being

<Requirements>

• Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or Alzheimer’s care practices
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
• Experience working with individuals with autism or memory care needs is desirable
• Demonstrated commitment to compassionate caregiving and maintaining resident dignity

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
