Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for Child with Special Needs – $27/hr

Pay: $27 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Job Description

Our family is looking for a compassionate, reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to help care for our 4-year-old daughter who has complex special needs. We are seeking someone who is energetic, patient, and genuinely loves working with children.

This role is an important part of helping our daughter continue to grow, learn, and participate in daily activities. The right candidate will be physically active and willing to support her with therapies and developmental activities.

We have a busy, loving household with four children and several pets, so we are hoping to find someone who enjoys being part of a family environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care for our 4-year-old daughter with special needs
• Assist with therapy activities and developmental play
• Support mobility and physical activities as needed
• Engage in play, learning activities, and daily routines
• Light household tasks such as dishes, laundry, and general tidying/decluttering
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment

Additional Opportunities
We also have three other children (including a 2-year-old) and would love someone open to occasionally helping with them for date nights or additional babysitting hours, which would be paid at a higher hourly rate.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience with children, childcare, or special needs support preferred
• Physically active and comfortable assisting with therapies
• Patient, dependable, and nurturing
• Comfortable around pets (we have two large dogs and a cat)
• Strong communication and reliability
• CPR/First Aid a plus

Compensation

• $27/hour for PCA care
• Higher hourly rate available for additional babysitting/date night hours
