Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Case Manager to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law and demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills. This role involves managing legal cases, assisting clients through the legal process, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date. The Case Manager will work closely with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective case management.
Duties
- Manage a caseload of clients, providing support throughout the legal process.
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information and assess their needs.
- Perform legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents, contracts, and correspondence with attention to detail.
- Review and manage documentation related to various areas of law including family law, immigration law, personal injury law, and more.
- Maintain organized case files using document management systems.
- Assist in project management tasks related to ongoing cases and ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategies and case developments.
- Provide executive administrative support including data entry, filing, and clerical tasks as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
Skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Strong writing skills for drafting documents and correspondence.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively.
- Familiarity with estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, patent law, tribal law & regulations, securities law, landlord-tenant law, workers' compensation law, and litigation processes.
- Experience with PCLaw or similar legal case management software is preferred.
- Ability to conduct interviews effectively and maintain professional phone etiquette.
- Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all written materials.
- Knowledge of document review processes and legal drafting techniques.
- Previous paralegal experience or legal administrative experience is highly desirable.
