Case Manager
Personal Injury firm seeking experienced Case Managers. As a Case Manager you must be highly organized and able to work on a varied caseload. The individual will assist the attorney in developing settlements, preparing documents and correspondence as needed. The ideal candidate is motivated, customer-focused, and empathetic. Responsibilities:
- Manage cases from demand through transfer to litigation.
- Request medical records.
- Interact with clients.
- Handle property damage portion of claim.
- Prepare demand package and medical bill outline.
- Draft supplemental demands.
- Draft and file Civil remedy Notices.
- Draft and audit settlement statements.
- Hire expert witnesses.
- Draft complaints.
- Prepare cases for litigation by the following checklist.
- Daily interaction with existing and potential clients via telephone, emails, and in person.
- Client intake and filing of the claim.
- Coordinate treatment for clients
- Order medical and billing records from providers and communicate with clients and providers throughout the course of treatment.
- Obtain documents necessary to support injury and/or liability positions.
- Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances.
- Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers and negotiate a deduction of outstanding medical balances with providers.
- Work directly with coworkers involved in the management and support of case files.
- Creating and maintaining organized case files.
- Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble support for submission to carriers.
- Interact with attorneys and present case synopsis when required.
- Manage case files from intake to closing under the direction of an attorney.
Qualification:
- Prefer a candidate who has been working as a pre-suit personal injury case manager with at least 2 year of experience.
- Must understand and have experience with handling PIP, UM, BI, and PD claims.
- Must understand and prepare a case for demand.
- Experienced Case Manager candidate for Post-Demand and distributions.
- Great customer service, verbal and communication skills with clients and medical providers.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with an ability to multitask in a team environment.
