Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Personal Injury Case Manager to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing personal injury cases from inception through resolution, ensuring efficient case progression, accurate documentation, and effective communication with clients and legal professionals. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, supporting complex litigation and client advocacy efforts. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, legal research capabilities, and familiarity with various legal practice areas including personal injury law, litigation, and case management systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, ensuring timely progression through all stages of litigation.
- Conduct legal research and other legal research tools to support case development.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate case files using document management systems and ensure all documentation complies with legal standards.
- Perform document review and proofreading to ensure accuracy and consistency across case materials.
- Coordinate with clients, attorneys, experts, and insurance adjusters via phone and written communication to gather necessary information.
- Assist with trial preparation by organizing evidence, exhibits, and witness information.
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather relevant case details.
- Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing, scheduling appointments, and managing deadlines.
- Utilize project management skills to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures related to personal injury law and other relevant practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, workers’ compensation law, family law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, UCC law, immigration law, and more as needed.
Experience
- Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with legal case management software such as FileVine, or similar platforms.
- Experience conducting legal research.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Excellent proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
- Effective interviewing skills for client and witness engagement.
- Knowledge of litigation processes across various practice areas including personal injury law is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, document review, and managing document systems efficiently.
