Position Summary:As a Personal Injury Legal Assistant at Johnson Law Group, you will provide administrative and operational support to attorneys and legal staff throughout all phases of personal injury matters. This role is essential in helping ensure efficient case progression, exceptional client service, and organized case management processes.
The Personal Injury Legal Assistant will support day-to-day legal operations by assisting with client communication, file management, scheduling, document organization, records coordination, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and compassion for clients.

· Serve as a professional and compassionate point of contact for clients, both in-person and over the phone.
· Support attorneys and legal staff during client meetings, including taking notes, preparing materials, merging documents, and assisting with the creation and maintenance of online client portals.
· Assist with the review, organization, and assembly of legal documents and case-related materials.
· Provide administrative and general office support, including managing incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and phone calls, as well as filing, scanning, data entry, and other related clerical tasks.
· Assist with case-related research, information gathering, and locating documentation as directed by attorneys or legal staff.
· Organize, scan, and maintain client files in both physical and electronic formats, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
· Coordinate attorney schedules, client meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other appointments.
· Request, receive, organize, and maintain medical records, billing records, insurance documentation, and other case-related materials.
· Track deadlines, follow-up items, and appointments to support timely case progression.
· Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance representatives, court personnel, and third-party vendors.
· Assist with client intake processes, conflict checks, and preparation of engagement documentation.
· Maintain accurate case notes, communications, and updates within the firm’s case management systems.
· Support attorneys and legal staff with hearing, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation through document organization and administrative assistance.
· Provide backup support to reception, intake, and administrative teams as needed.
· Participate in team meetings, training opportunities, and firmwide initiatives.
· Maintain professionalism and client confidentiality in all communications and interactions.
· Demonstrate dedication as a collaborative team member by providing support where needed to help ensure efficient office operations.
· Adhere to firm policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
· Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.

Education/Experience:
· One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
· Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Ability:
· Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
· Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
