Pet Butler is hiring a part-time Pet Care Professional in the Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, and Saline areas. This role involves traveling to clients’ homes to provide personalized pet care based on each client’s needs. Responsibilities include dog walking, backyard playtime, feeding, in-home pet care, and light home-care tasks.
Pet Care Professional Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels
- Provide attentive play and affection for dogs, cats, and small animals
- Feed pets and refill water bowls
- Administer oral and topical medications when needed
- Pick up pet waste and scoop litter boxes
- Clean up accidents in the home
- Complete tasks such as bringing in mail and watering plants
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of each pet
- Record visit notes and updates in the Pet Butler Pet Care app
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Open availability on weekdays and weekends
- Reliable, insured vehicle with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Genuine passion for caring for animals; prior experience preferred
- Comfortable handling a variety of animals (dogs, cats, small mammals, etc.)
- Physically able to manage dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Dependable, honest, organized, flexible, and able to work independently
- Strong communication, customer service, and time-management skills
- Minimum age of 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Background check required after a contingent job offer
This is a commission-based position.
